On the evening of Monday, February 24, 2025, we came together at the beautiful Hotel Ella for an unforgettable night in support of The Black Fund of Central Texas. From the soulful sounds of Chris Spivey, Icey Simpson, and Michelle Marie to the powerful words of our longstanding supporters and grantee honorees—Mike Nellis (Austin Community Foundation), Regan Gruber Moffitt (St. David’s Foundation), Preston James (DivInc), Bill Wallace (Tomorrow’s Promise), Monique Parker (Little Bit of Good), and Anthony Jackson (We Can Now)—every moment was a testament to the resilience, innovation, and impact of Black-led organizations in Central Texas.

We are living in a time where the very basic principles of inclusion and humanity for all are under attack. Now more than ever, it is up to us to ensure sustainable futures for the next generations. We are especially grateful to our allies who have stood by us—not just in a moment, but in a movement. Your unwavering commitment affirms that this work is not about charity but about collective liberation and shared responsibility. As the powerful words of Lilla Watson remind us:

“If you have come to help me, you are wasting your time. But if you have come because your liberation is bound together with mine, then let us walk together.”
